Note from Joan: Over the past three years I have taught 60+ workshops for approximately 25 different writing centers. In that time, two of my beloved students have passed away. It always takes me a long time to process a death & as I do, it is not always clear to me how to memorialize someone. So when Beth’s fellow writers/dear friends Jone MacCulloch & Moe Phillips reached out to me about doing just that, I was deeply grateful. I’ve included Jone’s writing prompt later in this post.
