One of the things I love and have always loved about poetry is the way in which a poem, often in less than a page, can build & share a possible or impossible world. All of the poems I share today do that in one way or another—and all of the poets below have moved me and been important in my own world-building at some point in the last few years.

So what does it mean to write about “possible/impossible worlds?” How might these imaginings serve us in dark times?

~Will you be relaxing at home this Friday night? I’d love to have you listen into my poetry reading online at the Syracuse Downtown Writer’s Center. Also, if you are in the New York tri-state area, consider attending the Sarah Lawrence Poetry Festival where I will be teaching a generative workshop in-person.

~Okay! Ready to write?!
